Soo (pronounced Sue) Catwoman
Oil, acrylic and spray paint on artist’s panel, framed and ready to hang. 13” by 17”.
This figure developed a stylish look with hair and makeup during the first wave of wild adolescence youth in England that became known as “punk”, around 1977. This cat look always impressed me, as did the entire movement, from Vivienne Westwood’s clothing to the Clash’s resistance anthems. But Soo Catwoman, always in the background of the photos from this era, I had to do a painting of her.
